Construction Technology of Post-Grouting Static Pressure Pipe Piles in Silt Areas

Prestressed concrete pipe piles are a new pile type that has emerged in recent years. Because this pile type offers significant advantages over traditional foundation treatment methods in terms of foundation reinforcement, construction schedule, project cost, and environmental protection, it has been widely used in engineering. However, research on post-grouting construction technology for static pressure prestressed concrete pipe piles is scarce, and the lag in theoretical understanding has constrained the promotion of this technology. Building on previous work, this paper investigates the construction technology of static pressure prestressed pipe piles before and after pile-bottom grouting through full-scale field tests.

Taking the application of static pressure pipe piles in the Jining Canal City Business Center project as an example, this paper introduces the mechanism of static pressure pile driving, the design and construction of pipe piles, the problems encountered during construction and the countermeasures, and puts forward prospects for the application of static pressure pipe piles in relatively hard soil layers and thick sand layers of medium density or above.

Coordination Between Pipe Pile Construction and Foundation Pit Construction in Soft Soil Foundation Works

In soft soil foundation construction, pipe pile and foundation pit construction both affect and coordinate with each other. For their smooth progress, comprehensive consideration must be given to many factors such as geology, earthwork excavation and transport, and foundation pit characteristics, with emphasis on technical coordination, control of construction loads and schedule, and assurance of excavation progress and pile foundation quality. One-sided pursuit of speed can easily cause problems such as displacement, tilting, and fracture of foundation piles, affecting the construction period and quality, and thus defeating the purpose. This paper analyzes several factors affecting excavation progress and pile foundation quality in soft soil foundation construction, and, taking a project under soft soil geological conditions as an example, describes the corresponding coordination and solution measures, hoping to provide some modest experience for the construction of similar projects in the future.

A Preliminary Study on Key Technical Construction Points of Prestressed Concrete Pipe Piles

The construction of prestressed concrete pipe piles mainly involves lifting, positioning, pile driving, pile splicing, and other key steps. Problems such as pile head bursting and pile body cracking may also occur during construction. Depending on the extent of damage, epoxy resin reinforcement may be used; when necessary, the damaged pile should be scrapped and a replacement pile installed at the same time. According to relevant regulations, prestressed pipe piles must undergo quality sampling inspection, and methods such as static load testing and dynamic load testing may be used.

A Brief Study on Uplift Tests of Prestressed High-Strength Concrete Pipe Piles

Subgrade settlement has always been a key issue for passenger dedicated lines. Based on the results of vertical uplift static load tests on single PHC pipe piles in the Panying Passenger Dedicated Line project, this paper analyzes the pile types selected for the uplift design of PHC piles, studies the uplift performance of PHC piles, analyzes and calculates various factors affecting the uplift bearing capacity of PHC piles, and determines the range of values for the uplift coefficient λ of each soil layer.

Design and Application of Prestressed Pipe Pile Rigid Pile Composite Foundation in Sites with Uneven Ground Conditions

Composite foundations (CFG piles, high-pressure jet grouting piles, rammed expanded piles, lime-soil compaction piles, etc.) are widely used in ground improvement. However, in sites where soil layers and gravel interlayers are distributed alternately and their thicknesses vary greatly, few design methods are available; and when the effectiveness of ground improvement and construction feasibility are taken into account, even fewer composite foundation options can be adopted. Based on an analysis of the geotechnical investigation report and the design foundation bearing capacity of a certain project, the authors of this paper describe the design method for prestressed pipe pile composite foundations in uneven sites.
