Discussion on Construction Issues of Prestressed Concrete Pipe Piles

Prestressed concrete pipe piles offer the advantages of high pile body strength, high single-pile bearing capacity, and strong pile-driving capability, and are therefore widely used in construction. In addition, their short construction period and relatively low cost help minimize construction expenses. In practical application, however, certain issues remain in the construction of prestressed concrete pipe piles. This paper provides a detailed discussion of these issues.

PTC pipe pile composite foundations feature advanced treatment technology, reliable pile quality, significant economic benefits, and safe construction, offering promising prospects for widespread application in the treatment of deep soft soil foundations of expressways. This paper describes in detail the static pressing pile-sinking method, construction technology, construction technical requirements, and precautions for PTC pipe piles, analyzes the final pressing conditions of static pressing pile sinking, and proposes parameters such as the final pressing value control standard for reference.

Application of PHC Pipe Piles in Water Conservancy Projects and Construction Quality Control

PHC pipe piles were introduced into China more than 20 years ago and have since been widely used in water conservancy, building, bridge, and other fields. During the construction of water conservancy projects, problems such as pile deviation, difficult pile driving, resistance encountered during pile pressing, and pile damage are often encountered, affecting construction quality. Based on this, this paper studies the application of PHC pipe piles in water conservancy projects and proposes corresponding control measures for certain aspects of construction quality.

Application of Prestressed Concrete Thin-Walled Pipe Piles and Counter-Pressure Backfill in Treating Soft Foundation Instability

During the construction of high embankments on deep soft soil for expressways, problems such as embankment sliding and loss of stability, as well as large post-construction settlement of embankments, are frequently encountered. In such unfavorable geological conditions, the combined treatment of soft foundations using prestressed concrete thin-walled pipe piles and counter-pressure backfill can effectively prevent such problems from occurring during construction.

Application Analysis and Study of CFG Piles with Long Spiral Drilling and In-pipe Pumping

The CFG pile with long spiral drilling and in-pipe pumping is formed on the basis of conventional CFG piles by using pumping equipment and long spiral drilling machinery. Discussion on Structural Design of Prestressed Concrete Pipe Piles

Prestressed concrete pipe piles are currently a widely used type of foundation pile, offering advantages such as fast construction speed, guaranteed pile body quality, and high single-pile bearing capacity. Two main pile-driving methods are primarily adopted: hammer driving and static pressing. Combined with engineering case studies, this paper introduces the verification of the pile body's horizontal bearing capacity and, under identical geological conditions, compares the respective advantages and disadvantages, horizontal and vertical bearing capacities, pile body settlement, and applicable scope of hammer-driven and statically pressed piles.

Application and Construction of PTC Pipe Piles in the Huning Expressway Expansion Project

With economic development, traffic volume on the Huning Expressway has increased rapidly, placing considerable pressure on its own carrying capacity. To ensure normal traffic flow on this section and to accommodate the fast-paced development of the future, reconstruction and expansion construction are required. In recent years, expressway construction technology has been continuously improved, which has not only raised construction efficiency but also effectively enhanced construction quality. In particular, PTC pipe pile construction technology has been widely applied in current expressway construction. Centering on this topic, this paper analyzes and discusses four aspects: the characteristics of prestressed pipe piles, the construction and quality inspection of PTC pipe piles, the construction of PTC pile caps, and the construction of crushed stone cushion layers and reinforced geogrids. A Brief Analysis of Prestressed Concrete Pipe Pile Construction Technology and Its Control

With the development of China's modernization and the demands of the construction market, China's prefabricated pipe pile technology has advanced considerably. Prestressed concrete pipe piles have been widely adopted due to their many advantages, including quality assurance, convenient construction, short construction time, and reduced on-site contamination. PHC pipe piles are a new type of pile construction method introduced into China only in recent decades, and this method has now been widely applied in the construction of bridges, buildings, water conservancy projects, and other engineering fields. Application of Measures to Prevent Soil Squeezing Effects in Static Pressure Pipe Pile Construction

During the installation of prestressed pipe piles, a soil-squeezing effect is produced in the surrounding soil, causing severe tensile cracking and shearing of the soil around the piles, and inducing displacement, rotation, and strain in the soil near the piles, thereby causing harm or damage to the engineering piles themselves and to nearby underground structures such as buried pipelines. There are many preventive measures against the soil-squeezing effects of pipe pile construction, but flexible application of soil-squeezing prevention schemes often achieves unexpected results. Based on actual engineering conditions, this paper flexibly applies a variety of preventive measures against soil-squeezing effects, effectively mitigating the adverse impacts of pile-driving soil-squeezing stress on the engineering piles themselves and the surrounding environment, and providing a reference for similar pile foundation construction in China.
