Research on the Tilt Control Method for Monopile Driving in Offshore Intertidal Wind Farms
According to official statistics, 76% of foundations in overseas offshore wind farms adopt large-diameter monopile structures, which have the advantages of high construction efficiency and low cost. However, the key technology and difficulty in monopile driving lie in the control of monopile tilt. Typically, foreign construction techniques can only meet a construction standard of ≤5‰, necessitating the use of transition pieces for grouting leveling. Through over a year of exploration and experimentation, and by integrating the characteristics of domestic offshore intertidal construction, our company has successfully mastered the key process for controlling monopile tilt during driving. After driving, the monopile tilt is consistently ≤2.75‰, fully meeting the foundation tilt requirements for wind turbine installation. Furthermore, the design of transition pieces has been eliminated, and grouting leveling with transition pieces is no longer required, greatly improving construction efficiency and reducing both construction and wind farm maintenance costs. This approach is suitable for large-scale promotion in offshore intertidal wind farms.
