Analysis of the Adaptability of Rotary Drilling Rigs in the Guangzhou Region
The rotary drilling rig construction technique is a relatively advanced pile foundation construction method that has only been promoted and applied in China in recent years. It is widely used in the foundation pile construction of highways, railways, bridges, and large buildings in China. In the early days, most of the rotary drilling rigs used were imported from Germany and Italy or were second-hand rotary drilling rigs from Japan. In recent years, driven by projects such as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the Beijing Bird's Nest, foreign brands have continuously poured in, and domestic products of the same kind have also gradually emerged. The application of rotary drilling rigs in construction in the Guangzhou region started relatively late, and there are not many case examples. Below, a successful example of a subway station retaining structure constructed with a rotary drilling rig is used to analyze the adaptability of this construction technique in the Guangzhou region, in the hope of offering a modest contribution to stimulate further discussion.
