Brief Discussion on the Application and Development Prospects of Rotary Drilled Pile Technology in the Guangzhou Region
Rotary drilled pile technology is an advanced pile foundation construction method that has only been promoted and used in China in recent years, and it is widely applied in the pile foundation construction of highways, railways, bridges, and large buildings. In recent years, in the construction of large projects such as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the Beijing Subway, the Olympic venues, and the new terminal building of Capital Airport, the advantages of rotary drilled piles—high efficiency, environmental friendliness, and high cost-effectiveness—have been widely recognized, setting off a "rotary drilled pile boom" in China; the rotary drilling rig was the fastest-growing pile construction machinery product during the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period. The application of rotary drilled pile technology in the Guangzhou region started relatively late, and there are not many examples; the following analyzes the application and development prospects of this construction technology in the Guangzhou region based on a successful example of rotary drilled pile construction used for the retaining structure of a certain project.
